Mission Statement

The mission of the Crawford High Foundation is to develop funding sources for the school and encourage and enable personal involvement of alumni and friends in support of the staff and students at Crawford High. The primary initial emphasis will be on actions to improve employability of Crawford High graduates and to encourage its students to complete their educations. The policies and regulations of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and the San Diego Unified School District with respect to inter-scholastic competition and academic matters shall be observed by the Corporation.

The Foundation has accomplished the following:

• Funds 5 annual scholarships
• Erected fence/gate for the girls' softball field
• Assisted graduating classes with Homecoming events
• Assisted Track and Football teams with fundraisers
• Purchased uniforms for the badminton team for CIF finals
• Established an Athletic Booster Club
• Conduct outreach at the Rolando Street Fair
• Purchased new school flag for the quad
• Assisted with purchase of new commercial washing machine for athletic department
• Purchased a new ice machine for the athletic department
• Purchased new uniforms for the golf team
• Purchased ball caps for the soccer team
• Established "Dr. Chris Benson Scholarship"
• Established Alumni Committee
• Purchased golf cart for use by school security
• Provide financial support for dance classes
• Assisted the Academic League with items needed for recruiting and competition
• Purchased new uniforms for the football team
• Purchased new computers and software for the school
• Purchased industrial grade embroidery sewing machine for the school
• Assisted with awarding the “Professor Allan Marshall $1,000 Chemistry Scholarship”
• Purchased new uniforms for the baseball team
• Purchased portable hard drive for the ROP website class
• Established “Dr. Allan and Nancy Bailey San Diego State University Business Scholarship Fund” for LAB students
• Endowed the “Canstruction Project” of IDEA
• Subsidized registration fees for MVAS at the Rolando Street Fair
• Purchased security lights and cameras for the school
• Established Reunion Support Committee
• Purchased new outfit for the school mascot
• Purchased t-shirts and sweet shirts for various school clubs
• Developed award winning website getting top honors at the San Diego County Fair in the Student Showcase venue
• Facilitated getting computers donated to the school
• Established Foundation office on campus
• Strengthen and develop positive working relationship with alumni, students, staff and administrators
• Purchased Digital Cameras
• Purchased Pep Banner for the School

On behalf of the CHS Foundation, we would like to welcome you to support the Will C. Crawford Foundation. For decades our Alumni has had a relationship with its youth and Will C. Crawford High School. The Crawford Foundation, sponsor class activities, school renovation projects, and community awareness activities. Every year there are Crawford graduates who are awarded scholarships, which have been funded by the Foundation.

The Crawford Foundation is constantly working with alumni, administrators and school educators to improve the quality of both the social and academic experience on the campus, while also assisting in enhancing the educational opportunities for all students as much as possible. The Foundation participates in and promotes numerous activities while seeking funding to see each one through completion.
