Dedication Ceremonies

Mrs. Will C. Crawford, widow of the late city school superintendent, stands beside a portrait of her late husband at the dedication of Will C. Crawford High School. This original photograph was lost in the fire that took place in 1980, when a few disgruntled students broke into the school Administrative office and torched the building.

Left to right are Mrs. Mary McMullen, the first Crawford High Principal; then Mrs. Will C. Crawford, widow of the late superintendent of schools, and Dr. Ralph Dailard, the then present superintendent of San Diego City Schools. All three are standing in front of a portrait of Dr. Crawford.
