Arnold Schwarzenegger Crawford High in 1999

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger at rededication ceremonies of the Crawford High Gymnasium. This current Governor of the State of California had subsidized the refurbishment of the buildings restoration. Note the Crawford Colts baseball cap he is wearing in this 1999 photograph.

You can only imagine what is going through his mind as he gazed on to the multi-cultural faces that greeted him on this festive day. Cries of appreciation and love filled the air… as waves of red, white and blue colors washed over the assembled students, staff and dignitaries. The ethnic mix today at Crawford is very different from what it was in the 1950’s, 1960’s, 1970’s and even 20 years ago. Today, the surrounding neighborhood is now made-up of families from Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
